Playing with Earth and Sky has several strips of attached raw canvas forming the foundation of the painting. The cloth is partially frayed, with hanging strands. This is the canvas I had used for playing and experimenting, just for the exercise of doing so. I played with this small canvas, layer upon layer... painting, repainting, adding colors, changing colors, and more. That is, until it reached this point and I knew I wanted to leave it be.

The stretched canvas is stapled in the back and the sides are painted. Signed and dated on the side of the canvas.
