Original acrylic, mixed media painting (on mixed media paper) in a 12” x 12” mat with a protective sleeve.
Affirmations #6: Expansive was completed as the sixth piece in the series. I put a lot more time into playing with this one. And ended up taking it in a different direction, with the circle and grid… a familiar and comfortable duo.
The word Expansive, along with a related quote was handwritten on the piece early on. Now they are well hidden under the layers of paint and colored pencils. Upon reflection, I’m not sure if these words had an influence on what I created with this painting.
The quote: “Expansiveness is my true nature. It’s for me to acknowledge, believe, and own the truth, to open to and allow the trueness of that nature of being me.” (my own words)
Affirmations #6: Expansive is signed and dated on the back.
